At this point, we have a solid core of volunteers, and a pretty steady flow of donations to cover dumps.
Nick supplied some awesome drone footage and video editing to capture all the dirty details of the run.
This was yet, another visit to the end of Stone Pillar Rd. More tires were collected and stacked, used motor oil was removed, and more garbage left the desert.
At this point, I still did not have the stomach to dispose of a dead animal, which was dumped Dexter-style – portions wrapped in individual plastic bags. That gets pretty rancid in the Dayton sun.
At this point, the Stone Pillar spot we have been working has been nearly restored to it’s natural wild desert beauty.
However, I am sad to report that on this day, I lost the most awesome pair of hiking shoes to a leaky oil can.
